Varun Chanrai

Varun is co-founder and Director of Triforium, focused on mission-driven entrepreneurship and building businesses that use commercial discipline to create lasting social impact.

He co-founded Storal alongside Ash, growing it from a single nursery in Kent into one of the UK’s leading early years groups - more than 60 sites over a decade.

At Storal, Varun helped lead the strategy, growth, funding and operations behind the business, shaping a disciplined buy-and-build approach that included more than 30 acquisitions and new-build sites.

Before Storal, Varun worked at KPMG, advising financial services clients on strategy, operating models and digital transformation.

He is also a board observer at the Kewalram Chanrai Group, a diversified global family enterprise with interests across investment management, financial services, textiles, automotive and agriculture.

Varun holds an MBA from INSEAD, an MSc in Real Estate Investment from Cass Business School, and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. He is also a YPO member and a member of the London Chapter.

He lives in London with his wife and two children. Away from work, he is often watching Arsenal, trying and failing to play golf, and, of course, trying to keep up with his children.
